LP201 Open House competition, an important milestone in the LP 201 programme, was conducted at GEC, Idukki on 20th Dec, 2022. During the course of the programme, students had identified project/product ideas based on real-world problems and worked towards designing and developing working prototypes for these.
The product demos at GEC Idukki highlighted the creative thinking and passion of the teams. Evaluating and identifying the top two from the set of high-quality submissions was indeed a challenge for the judges!
The strong support provided by the college LEAP co-ordinator and college management, as well as the efforts of the students and faculty mentors contributed to the liveliness and smooth conduct of the event.

Project DescriptionThis product uses several sensors to determine when a bike is involved in an accident. In case of an accident, it automatically sends an SMS to several numbers and places a voice call to one number to inform them about the accident.
